Ingredients

  • 1 lb. roll pork sausage
  • 8 eggs
  • 10 slices bread, cubed
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 10 oz. pkg. asparagus, cut, thawed and drained
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons basil

Instructions

  1. Brown sausage; drain.
  2. In a large bowl, beat eggs.
  3. Add remaining ingredients.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Spoon into greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
  6. Cover; refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
  7. Bake at 350° for 60 to 70 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
  8. Refrigerate leftovers.
