Easy Burgers
Ingredients
- 1 None small onion, peeled and finely diced ⓘ
- 2/3 lb ground beef ⓘ
- 1 None egg ⓘ
- 1 pinch paprika ⓘ
- 2 oz low-fat cream cheese ⓘ
- 1/2 None each red and green bell pepper, seeded and finely diced ⓘ
- 2 tsp oil ⓘ
- 4 None seeded bread rolls, cut in half
- 4 tsp mayonnaise ⓘ
- 4 None lettuce leaves ⓘ
- 2 None medium tomatoes, sliced ⓘ
Instructions
- Mix the onion, ground beef, egg, paprika, cream cheese and 2/3 of the diced peppers. Season to taste and form the mixture into 4 flat patties. Heat the oil in a nonstick pan and fry the patties over a medium heat for about 12 minutes, turning as necessary. Remove them from the pan and let them cool slightly.
- Spread the lower half of the bread rolls with mayonnaise, followed by layers of lettuce, and tomatoes and a patty. Sprinkle with paprika and chives and top with the upper half of the bun.
