Ingredients

  • 20 oz. can crushed pineapple
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Dump the crushed pineapple, flour, sugar, vanilla, baking soda, and cream cheese into a bowl.
  2. Mix well until combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  5. In a separate bowl, cream together the powdered sugar, vanilla, and margarine.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the warm cake immediately after baking.
  7. Sprinkle walnuts on top as garnish.
  8. Refrigerate before serving.
