Easy Oriental Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 lb. skinned, boned chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch chunks (1 1/2 ok) ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce ⓘ
- 1 tsp. ground ginger ⓘ
- 1 clove garlic, minced ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil ⓘ
- 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar ⓘ
- 1/4 c. cider vinegar ⓘ
- 1 can pineapple chunks (optional, to taste) ⓘ
Instructions
- Combine chicken, cornstarch, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and salt.
- Heat oil in skillet over medium heat.
- Add mixture; cook for 3 minutes.
- Add brown sugar, vinegar and 1/4 c.
- water. Cover; simmer for 10 minutes, stirring often.
- Add pineapple to chicken mixture; continue cooking, uncovered, for 10 minutes more. Ready!
- Serves 4.
