Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, brown sugar, and egg; beat well.
  2. Add vanilla, salt, pecans, and self-rising flour; mix until combined.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Do not overcook.
  6. Cut into squares and serve.
