These savory biscuit cups filled with seasoned ground beef and melted cheese make a quick, crowd-pleasing appetizer or party snack perfect for any gathering.

- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Grease 10 muffin cups.
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet; drain grease.
- Stir in barbecue sauce, chopped onions or instant minced onion, and brown sugar.
- Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly to blend flavors.
- Separate dough into 10 biscuits.
- Place 1 biscuit in the bottom of each muffin cup and up the sides to form a 1/2-inch rim.
- Spoon about 1/4 cup of the meat mixture into each biscuit-lined cup.
- Sprinkle each with shredded American or Cheddar cheese.
- Bake at 400°F for 10 to 12 minutes, until edges of biscuits are golden brown.
- Cool for 1 minute.
- Remove from pan and serve.
