Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup prepared barbecue sauce
  • 1 (10 count) can Hungry Jack buttermilk biscuits
  • 2 oz. shredded American or Cheddar cheese
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions or 1 Tbsp. instant minced onion

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Grease 10 muffin cups.
  3. Brown ground beef in a large skillet; drain grease.
  4. Stir in barbecue sauce, chopped onions or instant minced onion, and brown sugar.
  5. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly to blend flavors.
  6. Separate dough into 10 biscuits.
  7. Place 1 biscuit in the bottom of each muffin cup and up the sides to form a 1/2-inch rim.
  8. Spoon about 1/4 cup of the meat mixture into each biscuit-lined cup.
  9. Sprinkle each with shredded American or Cheddar cheese.
  10. Bake at 400°F for 10 to 12 minutes, until edges of biscuits are golden brown.
  11. Cool for 1 minute.
  12. Remove from pan and serve.
