Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb sausage
  • 12 slices bread, cut and remove crusts
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
  • 9 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 cups milk
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown and drain the sausage, then let it cool.
  2. Beat eggs with milk in a large bowl.
  3. Add salt, pepper, dry mustard, and bread cubes to the egg mixture.
  4. Fold in grated Cheddar cheese and cooked sausage.
  5. Pour the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan (no butter).
  6. Refrigerate overnight.
  7. Take out 1 hour before baking and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
