Ingredients

  • 3/4 stick melted butter
  • 10 slices white bread, chunks
  • 12 oz grated sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 5 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups milk
  • dash of pepper

Instructions

  1. Put bread chunks and grated cheese in a greased 9 x 13-inch casserole dish.
  2. Pour melted butter over the bread and cheese mixture.
  3. Add beaten eggs and milk, then refrigerate for 1 to 2 days.
  4. Before baking, mix in one can of cream of mushroom soup and half a can of milk.
  5. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until golden and set.
