Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • cracker or bread crumbs
  • 1 (12 oz.) jar chili sauce
  • 1 (10 oz.) jar grape jelly
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, egg, and enough bread crumbs to hold together, then form into bite-sized balls.
  2. Brown the meatballs on all sides in a skillet or oven.
  3. Combine chili sauce, grape jelly, lemon juice, and brown sugar thoroughly in a saucepan and heat until smooth.
  4. Add the browned meatballs into the sauce and heat through.
  5. Serve in a chafing dish or warm serving dish.
