Ingredients

  • 3 cups apples
  • 2 cups syrup
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 4 cups plain flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Cook apples in syrup and allow to cool.
  2. Mix eggs, butter, and sugar until well combined.
  3. Combine the cooked apples with the egg mixture.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, then fold in pecans and raisins.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased Bundt pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 60 minutes.
