Ingredients

  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Sift all four dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking powder, pepper) together.
  2. Add the beaten egg, melted butter, and milk to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  3. Drop the batter by teaspoons into boiling broth.
  4. Cook for 18 minutes without lifting the lid.
