Ingredients

  • 5 oz. vermicelli
  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 16 oz. can stewed tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 to 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped or mashed through garlic press
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 c. water

Instructions

  1. Brown ground meat and chopped onion in a saucepan.
  2. In another large skillet, brown vermicelli and garlic in oil.
  3. Add cooked ground meat, chili powder, chopped stewed tomatoes, and 1 cup water to the skillet with vermicelli.
  4. Cover tightly and simmer for 10 minutes until flavors meld and pasta is tender.
