Firestation Casserole
A hearty casserole combining seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and flavorful green chilies layered with crispy corn tortillas, perfect for satisfying family dinners or comfort food cravings.

Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion (if using) and cook for 2 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, about 7 ounces (2/3 can) of milk, and chopped green chilies.
- Grate the Cheddar cheese.
- Cut or tear the corn tortillas into 2-inch squares.
- Layer a portion of tortillas in the bottom of an 8-inch square or small oblong ovenproof dish.
- Top with 1/3 of the cooked ground beef.
- Add 1/3 of the soup mixture and sprinkle with 1/3 of the grated cheese.
- Repeat the layering process two more times.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes until heated through and bubbly.
