Five Decker Dinner

- Cut the bacon into one-inch pieces and place in the bottom of a skillet or Dutch oven.
- Make four ground beef patties and place them on top of the bacon.
- Sprinkle the beef patties with salt and pepper.
- Layer sliced onions, potatoes, and carrots over the beef, sprinkling each layer with salt and pepper.
- Place green pepper on top of the layered vegetables.
- Place the skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat and cook for 3 minutes, until the bacon begins to sizzle.
- Add the can of tomato sauce over the layered ingredients.
- Cover and turn the heat to low, then simmer for 35 to 40 minutes.
