Florentine Shells
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. chopped onion ⓘ
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder ⓘ
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese ⓘ
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese ⓘ
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice ⓘ
- 1 tsp. salt ⓘ
- dash of pepper ⓘ
- 1 box large shell noodles ⓘ
- 1 (16 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce ⓘ
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package.
- Saute onion and garlic powder in margarine until tender.
- Combine onion, spinach, cheeses, eggs, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
- Mix well.
- Fill shells with mixture.
- Place in 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Pour sauce over shells.
- Cover and bake at 350° for 40 minutes. Sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese.
- Makes 6 to 7 servings.
