"Frankie'S" Chili

Ingredients
- 2 lb. ground beef ⓘ
- 2 (28 oz.) cans whole tomatoes, undrained ⓘ
- 7 c. water ⓘ
- 2 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans ⓘ
- 2 (16 oz.) cans pinto beans
- 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste ⓘ
- 5 or 6 stalks celery, chopped ⓘ
- 2 green peppers, chopped ⓘ
- 2 large onions, chopped ⓘ
- 4 Tbsp. chili powder ⓘ
- salt and pepper to taste ⓘ
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet and drain off the grease.
- Combine all ingredients in a large pot.
- Simmer for about 2 to 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot. Makes about 6 quarts and freezes well.
