Ingredients

  • 1 double pie crust
  • 2 1/2 cups apples, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons margarine

Instructions

  1. Arrange half of the sliced apples in a pastry-lined pie pan.
  2. Mix sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, flour, raisins, and lemon juice; sprinkle half of this mixture over the apples.
  3. Add the remaining sliced apples on top.
  4. Sprinkle with the remaining mixture over the apples.
  5. Dot the filling with small pieces of margarine.
  6. Place the top crust over the filled pie.
  7. Bake at 425°F for 45 to 55 minutes until golden brown.
