Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. pasta
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 c. shallots, sliced
  • 1/2 c. scallions, minced
  • 1/2 c. green peas
  • 2 Tbsp. basil leaves
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sage, chopped
  • 3/4 c. chicken or vegetable broth
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat margarine and olive oil together on medium heat.
  3. Lightly saut garlic, shallots and scallions for 2 minutes. Add peas, fresh chopped basil and sage and saut for 4 minutes. Add hot broth and simmer; when pasta is done, drain and mix into sauce.
  4. Blend well and serve.
  5. Serves 6.
