Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups sliced apples
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • confectioners sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, blend sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Sift in flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon into the mixture.
  4. Mix well until smooth.
  5. Fold in sliced apples and chopped pecans.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool completely in the pan.
  9. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
  10. Cut into 2-inch bars and serve.
