Fried Pie Filling

Sweet and tart fried pie filling with dried fruits, cinnamon, and nutmeg, perfect for making delicious fruit pies or pastries that appeal to all ages.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dried apricots
  • 1 pkg. dried apples
  • 1 pkg. dried peaches
  • white sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Cook each dried fruit in separate containers until well done.
  2. Add 1/4 cup white sugar to each container of cooked fruit.
  3. Mash the fruit with a potato masher while hot.
  4. Mix all mashed fruits together in one container.
  5. Place the mixture in the refrigerator and let set overnight.
  6. When ready to make pies, add cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar to the fruit mixture.
