Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 cups drained canned peaches, pears, apples or apricots in halves or slices
  • 1 tablespoon dry pudding mix
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup fruit syrup
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Combine drained canned fruit, 1 tablespoon dry pudding mix, brown sugar, and fruit syrup in a bowl.
  2. Transfer the mixture to an ungreased 1 1/2-quart round casserole or 8-inch square baking pan.
  3. Prepare the topping by mixing all-purpose flour, chopped nuts, salt, oats, sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.
  4. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the fruit mixture.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
