Ingredients

  • 1 cup dates
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • a dash of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Chop nuts and dates; mix with coconut, brown sugar, flour, salt, baking powder, and vanilla.
  2. Mix well and add well-beaten eggs. Form into balls the size of walnuts and roll in coarse sugar.
  3. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 20 minutes.
  4. Note: The mixture will be sticky.
