Sweet and chewy fruit candies combining raisins, apricots, dates, and prunes, flavored with orange rind and ginger, then dipped in coconut or chocolate for a delightful treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup apricots
  • 1 cup dates
  • 1 cup prunes
  • 1/2 cup nuts
  • rind of an orange
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • coconut or melted chocolate chips
  • water

Instructions

  1. Grind the raisins, apricots, dates, and prunes together.
  2. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and shape into balls.
  3. Roll the balls in coconut or dip them in melted chocolate chips mixed with 2 tablespoons of water.
  4. Set the candies on waxed paper to cool and set.
