Instructions
- Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and baking soda in a mixing bowl.
- Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Reserve 1/2 cup of the mixture.
- Press the remaining flour mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 9 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan.
- Spread preserves evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle the reserved flour mixture over the preserves.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden.
- Cool in the pan on a wire rack.
- Cut into bars and serve.
