Ingredients

  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 60 chocolate or white and chocolate striped candy kisses

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips and butter or margarine.
  3. Cook and stir over very low heat until chips are melted and smooth.
  4. Add sweetened condensed milk; mix well.
  5. In a medium bowl, combine flour, chopped nuts, chocolate mixture, and vanilla; mix thoroughly.
  6. Shape approximately 1 tablespoonful of dough around each candy kiss using a measuring spoon.
  7. Place the shaped cookies 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes until cookies are soft and shiny but will become firm as they cool.
  9. Remove from cookie sheets; cool.
  10. Drizzle with icing if desired.
