Fudge filled bars combine a crunchy oat crust with rich chocolate and pecans, topped with M&M's for a sweet, indulgent treat perfect for satisfying dessert cravings.

Ingredients

  • condensed milk
  • cooking oats
  • shortening
  • brown sugar
  • pecans
  • flour
  • chocolate chips
  • butter

Instructions

  1. Combine oats, flour, and brown sugar in a bowl.
  2. Add butter and mix until crumbly.
  3. Stir in pecans.
  4. Set aside 1 1/2 cups of the crumb mixture for topping.
  5. Press the remaining crumb mixture into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  6. In a saucepan, combine condensed milk, chocolate chips, and shortening.
  7. Cook and stir over low heat until the chocolate chips are melted and the mixture is smooth.
  8. Spread the chocolate mixture over the crust in the baking pan.
  9. Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture over the chocolate layer.
  10. Top with M&M's.
  11. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.
