Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 1/4 cups Karo syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients except nuts in a mixing bowl and mix well.
  2. Fold in chopped pecans.
  3. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie shell.
  4. Bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour until set and glossy.
