Tips & Substitutions

For added flavor, consider using chicken broth made from a whole roasted chicken instead of store-bought. If you want a crunchier texture, try adding slivered almonds or walnuts in place of pine nuts. Additionally, feel free to use brown rice instead of white rice for a healthier option. For a bit of spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or some chopped jalapeños.

Serving Suggestions

This dish pairs beautifully with a fresh green salad or steamed vegetables for a balanced meal. For a heartier option, serve with a side of roasted potatoes or couscous. A dollop of yogurt or a sprinkle of fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro can elevate the presentation and flavor. Enjoy with crusty bread for a complete dining experience.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place the mixture in a saucepan over low heat, adding a splash of chicken broth to prevent it from drying out. Stir occasionally until heated through. You can also microwave individual portions for convenience.
