Ingredients

  • 2 cans whole green beans, drained
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 to 4 garlic buttons
  • red pepper (optional)
  • dash of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Put the drained green beans in a bowl.
  2. Arrange garlic buttons around the beans.
  3. Mix vinegar, cooking oil, sugar, and black pepper together.
  4. Pour the dressing over the beans and garlic.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate overnight.
  6. Drain off all the liquid before serving.
