- Cut strips diagonally across the grain into 1/4-inch slices.
- Freeze the beef for 1 1/2 hours to ease in cutting.

- Add chopped onion, finely chopped garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper to the skillet.
- Cook and stir over medium-high heat until the onion is tender.
- Stir in the beef strips and bell pepper strips.
- Cook and stir about 4 minutes or until the beef is no longer pink.
- Stir in the dry red wine.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir cornstarch into the beef broth until dissolved.
- Stir the beef broth mixture into the beef and pepper mixture.
- Cook and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Serve over hot cooked noodles.
