Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups unsalted chopped peanuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (10 oz.) package miniature marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Cream together butter or margarine with the sugar in a large bowl using an electric mixer.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Add vanilla extract.
  4. Sift together flour, salt, and cocoa powder.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the batter, mixing well.
  6. Fold in chopped peanuts.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
  9. Remove from oven while still warm and top with miniature marshmallows.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before frosting with Georgia Mud Cake frosting.
