Ingredients

  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup pecans

Instructions

  1. Combine evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter, and vanilla in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  2. Boil for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool for about 15 minutes.
  4. Add 1 cup coconut and 1 cup pecans to the mixture.
  5. Spread the topping on the cake.
