Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups Crisco oil ⓘ
- 3 eggs ⓘ
- 3 cups plain flour ⓘ

Instructions
- Combine sugar and oil in a mixing bowl.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Sift together the dry ingredients: flour, cinnamon, soda, nutmeg, allspice, ground cloves, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the egg mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Sprinkle diced apples with lemon juice and fold into the batter along with chopped walnuts.
- Pour the batter into a greased and floured tube or Bundt pan.
- Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 75 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
