- Sift together all-purpose flour, salt, and soda.

- Quickly stir in chopped nuts and crushed pineapple with juice.
- Pour batter into a greased small loaf pan (approximately 9 x 5 x 3 inches).
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 50 to 60 minutes.
- Remove from oven and empty onto a rack to cool.
