Ingredients

  • 1 box butter pecan cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 1 lb confectioners sugar
  • 1 cup pecans

Instructions

  1. Mix the cake mix, 1 egg, and 1 stick of melted butter and press into a 9 x 13 inch pan to form the crust.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, 2 eggs, and confectioners sugar until smooth.
  3. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the pan.
  4. Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly on top of the cream cheese layer.
  5. Bake at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour or until the top is golden brown.
  6. Allow the cake to cool completely before cutting and serving.
