Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 4 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 cup sweet milk
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
  • 1 cup frozen coconut

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat eggs well and add them gradually to the creamed mixture, mixing thoroughly.
  3. Dust the chopped pecans with 2 tablespoons of flour to coat them.
  4. Combine the remaining flour with baking powder.
  5. Add graham cracker crumbs and flour mixture alternately with sweet milk to the batter, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Fold in the chopped pecans and frozen coconut last.
