  3. Combine dry ingredients: ginger, cinnamon, cloves, flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until evenly incorporated.
  5. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and then roll in granulated sugar.
  6. Place on cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 12 minutes, until cracks appear dry and cookies are no longer puffed.
