Ingredients

  • 10 oz. frozen broccoli
  • 3 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1/3 cup water from cooked broccoli
  • cheese to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook broccoli as directed on the package; save 1/3 cup of water.
  2. In a large pot, combine melted butter, chopped onion, and flour; cook until thick.
  3. Gradually blend in milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  4. Add cooked broccoli and the 1/3 cup saved water; cook until heated through.
  5. Add cheese to taste and melt before serving.
