Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oleo or butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup flaked coconut

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease the bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in honey, brown sugar, egg, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, oats, coconut, and chopped nuts until well combined.
  5. Press the mixture into the prepared pan evenly.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Cool in the pan, then cut into 32 bars.
