Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. fresh green beans
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/4 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Wash and trim the green beans; cook in boiling water for about 5 minutes until just tender-crisp.
  2. Drain the beans and refresh with cold water; drain again.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet.
  4. Saute the walnuts in the oil for 3 minutes over medium heat until lightly browned.
  5. Add the minced garlic, cooked green beans, and lemon juice; toss to coat evenly.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately.
