Ingredients

  • 2 cans English peas, drained
  • 1 small can water chestnuts
  • 1 small jar pimento, diced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, sliced
  • 1/2 stick margarine

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped onion, sliced celery, and pepper in margarine until tender.
  2. Transfer the sautéed mixture to a casserole dish.
  3. Add drained English peas, water chestnuts, diced pimento, and cream of mushroom soup to the casserole.
  4. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
  5. Top with buttered bread crumbs.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 to 30 minutes until heated through and golden on top.
