Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups applesauce
  • 2 1/2 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
  • 2 teaspoons apple juice

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla; beat until smooth.
  2. Stir in applesauce.
  3. Sift together all-purpose flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, and salt; add to mixture, mixing well.
  4. Pour batter into a greased and floured 12-cup Bundt pan.
  5. Preheat the gas grill.
  6. Cook with the cover down using indirect cooking method on high setting for 40 minutes, or until done.
  7. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
  8. Remove from pan and cool thoroughly on a wire rack.
  9. Combine confectioners sugar and apple juice; drizzle over the cooled cake.
