Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground sirloin
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 C. celery, sliced
  • 1 C. frozen peas
  • 1 C. carrots, thinly sliced
  • 2 - 8 oz. cans tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 package Pillsbury biscuits
  • 1/2 C. shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Saute ground sirloin, chopped onion, and minced garlic in a non-stick skillet.
  2. Add sliced celery, frozen peas, sliced carrots, one can of tomato sauce, salt, and Worcestershire sauce; simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Pour the mixture into a casserole dish.
  4. Arrange eight biscuits around the edge of the dish.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the biscuits.
  6. Pour the remaining can of tomato sauce over the biscuits and casserole.
  7. Bake in a 400-degree oven, uncovered, for 15 minutes or until biscuits are lightly golden.
