Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (16 oz.) can cut green beans, drained
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 5 medium potatoes, cooked
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 cup shredded medium sharp cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground turkey and chopped onion until the meat is lightly browned and the onion is tender.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Add drained green beans and tomato soup to the skillet and mix well.
  4. Pour the meat and vegetable mixture into a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  5. While hot, mash the cooked potatoes.
  6. Add warm milk and beaten egg to the mashed potatoes and mix thoroughly.
  7. Spoon the mashed potatoes in mounds over the casserole mixture.
  8. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the mashed potatoes.
  9. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 25 to 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
