- Fold the edges under and crimp; prick the crust with a fork.
- Bake at 425°F for 10 minutes; then allow to cool.
- Arrange 6 slices of cheese, overlapping, on the baked crust.
- Sprinkle the cooked ham evenly over the cheese.
- Cook the chopped onion in melted butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until tender.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in the lightly beaten eggs, milk, and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Spoon the egg mixture over the ham and cheese on the crust.
- Cut the remaining 2 slices of cheese into 9 squares each.
- Arrange the cheese squares on top of the tart.
- Bake at 425°F on the lower rack of the oven for 15 minutes or until set.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
