Ingredients

  • 1 (9-inch) refrigerated pie crust
  • 8 (1 oz.) slices processed American cheese
  • 2 cups cooked ham, finely chopped
  • 2 cups chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Roll the pie crust into a 13-inch circle and place it onto a 12-inch pizza pan.
  2. Fold the edges under and crimp; prick the crust with a fork.
  3. Bake at 425°F for 10 minutes; then allow to cool.
  4. Arrange 6 slices of cheese, overlapping, on the baked crust.
  5. Sprinkle the cooked ham evenly over the cheese.
  6. Cook the chopped onion in melted butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until tender.
  7. Remove from heat.
  8. Stir in the lightly beaten eggs, milk, and grated Parmesan cheese.
  9. Spoon the egg mixture over the ham and cheese on the crust.
  10. Cut the remaining 2 slices of cheese into 9 squares each.
  11. Arrange the cheese squares on top of the tart.
  12. Bake at 425°F on the lower rack of the oven for 15 minutes or until set.
  13. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
