  • 3 qt. boiling water
  • 1 bunch carrots, sliced
  • 1 stalk celery, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • ham bone and meat, sliced
  • seasoned salt

Instructions

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a large pot.
  2. Add the green split peas, carrots, celery, onion, ham bone and meat, and seasoned salt.
  3. Boil moderately fast for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.
