Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup cracker crumbs
  • 1 pound ground ham
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon instant chopped chives
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/3 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, pour milk over cracker crumbs.
  2. Add ground ham, ground pork, salt, pepper, dry mustard, chopped chives, and eggs; mix lightly.
  3. Shape the mixture into 24 meatballs.
  4. In a Dutch oven or large, deep skillet, combine white wine, water, and chicken bouillon; bring just to a boil.
  5. Add the meatballs to the liquid.
  6. Cover and simmer for about 50 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through, without boiling.
  7. Remove the meatballs to a warm serving dish.
  8. Stir the blended flour and water into the pan liquid, cook and stir until thickened.
  9. Pour the thickened sauce over the meatballs.
  10. Sprinkle with dill weed and serve over warm rice or noodles.
