Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 c. ground ham
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 3/4 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F.
  2. Sift flour and baking powder together in a bowl.
  3. Mix in a pinch of salt and ground ham.
  4. Cut in shortening with a knife until the mixture resembles meal.
  5. Add milk and handle the dough as little as possible.
  6. Pat out the dough with your hand or roll it on a floured surface.
  7. Cut out biscuits and place on a greased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake until biscuits are golden brown.
