Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sliced ready-cooked ham
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 2/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 3 c. thinly sliced raw potatoes
  • 1 c. sliced raw carrots

Instructions

  1. Brown the sliced ready-cooked ham in butter and brown sugar in a skillet.
  2. Remove the ham and pour off the drippings from the skillet.
  3. Mix together the cream of mushroom soup, evaporated milk, water, chopped onion, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in the sliced potatoes and carrots into the sauce.
  5. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender, about 35 minutes.
  6. Place the cooked ham over the vegetables.
  7. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes or until heated through.
