A creamy, cheesy sausage and hamburger spread with savory seasonings, perfect for spreading on bread or serving as an appetizer for gatherings and casual occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Sausage
  • 1 lb. Hamburg
  • 1/2 tsp. Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. Celery Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Garlic Salt
  • 1 Small Diced Onion
  • 1 lb. Velveeta
  • Mozzarella Cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage and hamburger in a skillet.
  2. Drain the excess fat from the meat.
  3. Mix in the seasonings and Velveeta cheese until well combined.
  4. Stir until the cheese melts and the mixture is smooth.
  5. Spread the mixture on slices of rye bread.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of each spread.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Optional: Freeze the spread for later use.
